Alexandra Quinn

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#092864)

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Alex and I support Millennial moms of young kids navigate the challenges of motherhood. Whether you’re experiencing loss of identity, resentment of your partner, limited patience with your kids - or anything in between - I’m your therapist.

I have over nine years of experience in clinical practice, but after the birth of my first child, I could not self-regulate, despite my expertise in mental health. Motherhood rocked me, and I battled everyday with intrusive thoughts, fighting for perfectionism, and feeling shame that I wasn’t loving motherhood.

After undergoing my own healing journey, I set out to ensure that I would support every mother I could, to the best of my ability.

Using a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and an eclectic approach, as well as my own experiences as a mother, I now aim to help mothers regain their sense of identity, advocate for their own needs, and parent more calmly and confidently.

Get to know me outside of my therapy role:

When I am not wearing my clinical hat, you can usually find me spending quality time with my kids and my husband. We’ll likely be outside in the yard, hanging with neighbors, or at a local brewery.

My favorite “me-time” activities are reading, crochet, painting window art, exercising, and dancing. I enjoy pretty much any crafty activity and have been known to flip furniture, redo my bathroom over the course of a weekend, or start a project without a plan. (My husband is very patient.)

I firmly believe there is no simple joy that compares to a quality cup of coffee and a chat with an old friend.

I also am the author of the postpartum reflection journal, More Than Mother, which is a guided journal for women in the postpartum period.

One day, long from now, when I feel ready to retire from clinical work, I dream of owning a bookstore cafe. Until then, I’m perfectly happy doing the meaningful work that I do, and helping moms to the best of my ability.
